Another CL dreamer...

According to him it only needs paint & an interior kit.

If this car was fully restored, I'm not sure it brings what he's asking. Definitely not with that current drivetrain.

Yup, knock a zero off the end and I would at least come take a look at it.

"Only needs paint and an interior kit"

Hmmm... That sounds easy. Does the paint come in a kit, too?

Re: Another CL dreamer...

In a year or two, someone will get a good deal. That will be after the seller gives up trying to sell the car and pulls his ad. It will sit in the driveway and someone will knock on the door to ask if the car is for sale. The guy will make a realistic cash offer, which the seller will reflexively want to refuse, but his wife will have overheard the conversation, especially the part where the guy says I have cash on me.

Re: Another CL dreamer...

The ad listed his number, so I sent him a text to see if the listing was an error. Nope...he wants $25,000. Yes, that's thousand. My wagon just went up in value.

Might just need a heater core too!

It is funny how the climate affects body integrity. I have seen thrashed-looking cars that are still fundamentally solid, I have also seen apparently clean cars that have been mined by the tin worm in hidden areas and are actually in bad condition.

$25000? He definitely doesn't want to sell it, or perhaps he does want to sell it for pie-in-the-sky windfall money. I do like the car, but not for the money.

Is the big hole in the firewall where the wiper motor goes? I would think $10-$12K but would depend on the under side and has the dash been hacked up?

Re: Another CL dreamer...

Just nice seeing another Chevelle in it's birthday suit, untouched, despite the unrealistic price. Makes you wonder who owned it.

Re: Another CL dreamer...

$10K would be all the money for that car. There was one in very similar condition near me that recently sold for $8900,same color too.
