My car has three pedals, but the far left one isn't connected to anything. Not sure what the auto vs manual has to do with this car. He didn't ask if it would be worth more with a 4 speed.

OP, beautiful car, priced right. Good luck with the sale.

Same with mine, no shift indicator either, still looks like a manual from the inside, but it is a 4 speed...
And I love the look of the 71 for sale, love it.

In person, most cars don't live up to their pictures. Not this bad boy. You become more impressed when you see it with your own eyes. Some of the best paint I've ever laid eyes on.....and it's not a trailer queen.

Re: Time has come, my 71 is on Ebay.

I need to hire Tony as my salesman for the car.

Thanks for the compliments. It isn't a perfect car, but as Tony said, it's not a trailer queen. Gotta enjoy using them!

You dont need a salesman for that car. It will sell itself! Great looking car! If I only had 40G's laying around

No go on Ebay. Kind of surprised after talking to a few people on the phone, as they seemed genuinely interested.

Sooo, what platform do people usually use to list for sale nowadays? Facebook, Craigslist, or???

Phil, I am suprised as well. To be honest I thought Ebay was the place to sell. You could get lucky with Craigslist, but be prepared for the hassles, scammers, etc. Craigslist is the playground for people with nothing better to do. Facebook, I have no idea as I don't go there. Would think anyone looking seriously would use Ebay. Maybe you should consider one of the big auctions.
NOCC is only a little over a month away. Would get good exposure there.

How about carsonline.com ? I used it years ago, for a fee, which I forget, and it stays there until sold, or until you pull the ad.

Have you considered Mecum? I know it is costly but the one they have here in Harrisburg cars like that generally do really well.

It is a gamble but...

Interestingly enough, I have been hearing a lot of good things about Facebook Marketplace. In fact, I found my most recent Chevelle on there and have sold numerous parts within hours of listing. Also, I have had several friends and colleagues comment on being able to sell things on there with much less hassle as well as a whole hell'uve a lot faster than they do on both Ebay and Craigslist which seems crazy to me.

Re: Time has come, my 71 is on Ebay.

Sold the car at the Northern Ohio Chevelle Club show this past weekend. Hadn't advertised it since ebay, but figured maybe people need to see it in person. Took Brad's advice and threw a for sale sign on it. Had more interest than i expected. Accepted an offer and plan to finalize everything Weds.

Of coarse, now I'm getting all these phone calls from people who saw the car there saying they would pay more. I gave someone my word though, so not going to screw him. Just now wish that I would have waited a little longer before accepting an offer. Oh well, live and learn.
