Re: Time has come, my 71 is on Ebay.

Phil, that is one good running beautiful car I sorry that you need to sell it but I understand priorities. I was hoping that it would be at 42 in August, well at least I got to see it make it's best pass at Norwalk. That car is worth what your asking and probably more. Its easily the nicest car that is used (raced, shown) that I have seen.

I agree with what Brian said. Very nice car, but family always comes first. Besides, you need to buy a house with a bigger garage, too. This is just a temporary setback. Get your kid raised, and get another car.

I wish you well on however this ends up!

Re: Time has come, my 71 is on Ebay.

I'll be picking up another car once we get settled into a new home. This will just make things a lot easier. We'll be able to wait until after finding a new house (garage ) to sell our current one, etc.

No guarantee it'll be sold by August either.

Beautiful car, been a fan on you tube for years! I use this walk around video of it idling to give me motivation to work on mine.

PS: love the buick wheels!

Thanks. The wheels are actually Oldsmobile reproductions with SS center caps. Pretty much the same as the Chevy version, just chromed instead of paint.

Great looking and sounding 71! As we all know, you couldn't begin to build one of that caliber for the asking price. Good luck on the sale.

Very nice car!! Hard to believe the paint is that old. Especially being black. Love the look with those wheels. If I were shopping I would be there.
I liked how when you put the camera down in the video, that it gave a great shot from down low without even trying. Good luck with everything!

There is no way anyone could build one like that for what you're hoping to get, especially with today's inflated prices and without it becoming a hack job.

The following is not criticism of your car but some thoughts of mine and I can only assume perhaps SOME buyers. I would be looking for a manual trans car and to be more specific a 5 speed. That is a personal preference and some buyers would prefer the auto trans. The custom console top would have to go. I would prefer factory top and shifter. As I said these are just MY thoughts and others may think that console is the cats ass.
I wish you good luck with the sale and someone will be getting a nice 71.
I agree, all my muscle cars I've ever owned have been manual transmissions. A friend of mine all said that if it doesn't have three pedals it's not a true muscle car.

Most people wait til the end to bid, thinking if the bid early it'll drive the price up. Talked to a few that seem interested, will see. One guy is planning on looking at it this week.

Just hooked up the wipers for the 1st time since I've owned the car. That should warrant a $1000 price increase, right?

Yes, if it starts raining during the test drive.

Good luck with the sale.
