Very nice, he should sell it on BJ Auction.

Re: Original Owner 67 SS

HOLY COW! I get to see what my 67 looked like from factory with white stripes. According to the PP , it came with WHITE D96s, not the black I put on. Not bad looking!

PS, did the 350 HP have a Holley or a Qjet carb? Is the engine stamp located too close to the edge? Neat ride, looks too familiar!

Nice car especially considering being in the Northeast all the time. Obviously never driven in the winter, nor much at all with those miles if original.

Re: Original Owner 67 SS

The guy I bought my 67 from had a few true original cars in his garage including a 67 very similar to this. I was trying to guess what the car was worth, being in amazing shape, and I was thinking a fair bit more than the ask on this car.

Re: Original Owner 67 SS

I was just out walking in our little burg that's having the first car show of the year today (my very first) and stopped to talk with another '67 owner. He is the original owner of his car as well and it's in beautiful condition. Originally was a 327 (Malibu) and he's put in a BB, but still, being the original owner is pretty darned rare IMHO.

Similar story -- bought it new when he got out of the service in '67...

Oh, and it's red as well.

Mark

Re: Original Owner 67 SS

Considering how the materials used in 1967 wear and deteriorate it must have been truly pampered. maybe he kept in his living room! Obviously he didn't drive it much with that many miles on it. Really sweet car.

Id like to shake this guys hand, both for his service in Vietnam and for keeping this beauty in such amazing shape.

I wouldn't give 30k for it but someone might pay a lot.

He's asking a rare car price and they made almost 60,000 of these.

Original air cleaner gone and gas lines, heater hoses look redneck.

Re: Original Owner 67 SS

The cars on Ebay for $80k. Isn't the lower part of the stripe a little wide and I don't remember them going up over the fender trim.

Re: Original Owner 67 SS

The fan shroud is missing also. Why would you take that off,and not replace it? I know theres an ass for every seat, but what is a realistic price for this car?

There were two stripe options in '67. The more common ones were thinner & did not go over the wheel lips, but the ones seen here are also correct/factory.

Unless it had HD cooling or A/C it wouldn't have a shroud. It is missing the finger guard, however.
