Re: 1967 Malibu

Personal inspection of condition of body/frame/paint condition is mandatory. Much depends on that.

I think if you want 12.5 for that car, you might want to take better pics.

Re: 1967 Malibu

For a SBC it should have the Extra/Spacer Bracket between the Rad and the Front End Cross Member/ Rad Core Support.

Here is a pic of mine when I first bought my 67 Chevelle

Here is what it looks like by itself

As it is installed on the Rad Support Panel in a empty Engine Bay

However since the SBC in your 2nd pic has a Serpentine Style Pulley System I guess there was not enough room/space for it

If there is not too much Bondo in the Quarters etc. and the Floors are good
then $12.5 is reasonable IMHO

I don't own this car. I'm thinking about buying it. 12.5k is the asking price.

Re: 1967 Malibu

Floors, trunk and the rear window are the 67's "special areas". 12.5 is reasonable if it isn't a bondo queen. Take a magnet, and Budgie, go... " IN FOR THE KILL" at 10k.

Budgie is an old rock band I used to like.

Re: 1967 Malibu

Get in the trunk & look up at the rear window area from beneath it.

Re: 1967 Malibu

Go over it with a fine tooth comb. The engine looks like it was dressed up with whatever they had lying around or found for cheap at the swapmeet. Primer hides a lot of problems. If itís straight and the quarters, trunk pan and floors donít need work, it might be fair. If there is a bunch of Bondo or rust in the quarters or rocker panels, walk away and wait for something better to show up.

I'd do the same for the lower front windshield area... Bring a flash light and look up...

When you are in the trunk, also check the insides of the quarter panels, for damage...

It all depends on the individual, but personally, rusted floors aren't too much of a worry... Easily patched (usually), and hidden by the carpet, etc... The the window channel rust that needs to be fixed first...

Re: 1967 Malibu

As stated, check it out really well. Car is still in primer and the add says it needs body work before paint. It also depends what your plans are with the car. The vin is not in the add, so did it start as a 6 cylinder car. Canít see the V on the emblems. What rear end? I see itís in Camillus, are you close?
