66 Malibu California car

I have a 19 Z06 coming in a month. I currently have my wifeís Velar and a 2012 Cadillac CTSV Coupe. I am selling the V and a friend offered to buy my Chevelle. Iíve owned it for 10 years this November. I either put a lift in the garage so I can keep both cars inside or I sell it.

I am not desperate but want to be fair on a price.

I don't know what it would be worth, but I would guess a lot more pictures are needed. But I do really like the look of it.

Re: 66 Malibu California car

If it was mine, I think I would put a pair of rear antennas on it, and a lot of tire build up on the lower quarters. And not change much else. I'm not a fan of non-stock dash/clusters, but from the 1 picture it looks like it was nicely done. And I wouldn't choose those wheels, but I don't know if I would be in a rush to pull them off either. And maybe bump up the rear 2" or so.

Air shocks are shot.

They should sit a couple inches higher.

Re: 66 Malibu California car

You have a lot of custom, non-stock things done to the car and that makes it much harder to put a price tag on it.

Since custom items are judged in the eye of the beholder, will these custom changes be a plus or a minus to the cars value?

Re: 66 Malibu California car

Itís hard to say with the posted pictures. The car looks nice, but does the black hood come across as integrated into the design or like it was a repair that couldnít be paint matched? To get top dollar the rear of the car needs to sit a bit higher, it also needs four wheel disc brakes, you will likely need to have the hood painted to match. Iíd say between $25,000 and $40,000, spending on fit and finish plus how long you are willing to sit in the car.

Re: 66 Malibu California car

I have the front wheel well moldings. I took them off thinking I liked the look but havenít put them back on. The pic with no grill is a few months old.

The original painted hood was thrashed by the seller who tried to put hood vents on a non SS hood.

I sprayed it with a satin black.

The car is 75% there. I just donít have the room for it

I moved to Las Vegas six months ago and there are rolling chassis out here unrestored messes going for $10-15,000. The $25-30k range is probably where I am for that buyer who isnít looking for original. While itís not for everyone, I think my potential buyer likes everything on it.

Who makes that?

Hate to break it to some but the way he has his done up will sell quicker and bring more than an orig stocker.
