Should I use a Internal regulator or not?
I have a 65 Chevelle and I am having a guy rebuild a 327 that was not with the car. I am putting in the 327 with no existing parts and I am starting from scratch. Should I buy a internal regulated alternator or use the existing regulator? I bought a Engine harness from American Autowire but nothing is labeled and the Black/white and dark blue wires from the voltage regulator are not in this harness, but I found them on the old harness still in the car tied up and taped. The old regulator is in the car. Any input is appreciated.
