Cool New from Oregon - '65

Hello,

This is a great resource and wanted to say hello & thanks.

Currently shade tree wrenching on what has been dubbed "Zardoz" - a '65 300 Deluxe Derelict. (details in signature)

I picked it up in February from Springfield, Ore. (about 100 miles south of Portland) It's an original Oregon car with original plates. The 327, 12 bolt posi RE, muncie, disc brake conversion, suspension were all allegedly rebuilt 10k ago. After putting in a new wiring harness, dash rewire, 3" stainless H pipe exhaust & fitech with timing control (nightmare to dial in), it's running pretty sweet and loud.

Compared to my '64 lincoln, it handles like it's on rails. It's been super easy to work on & get most parts for compared to past projects. The goal is to dial in all the mechanics before aesthetics and by doing so, scare the crap out of prius drivers. I think I may have caught the bowtie bug!

Thanks

Welcome! A vintage Chevelle is a wonderful thing, especially when you can turn it into whatever you want.
64 Lincoln, eh? Is it a 4-door convertible by any chance?

Re: New from Oregon - '65

Welcome from up here in the Portland area, approx. 100 miles north of you, lol. We have quite a few Oregonians hanging around this little club. Nice little post '65 you have there, should be a fun hotrod.

Cam, maybe a little presumptuous, but you may be thinking of a certain '61 Lincoln??

Welcome to Team Chevelle.....

When I works, I works hard.
When I sits, I sits loose.
When I thinks, I falls asleep.

Thanks @Cam ! No, it's an all original-ish '64 HT (Raven's Black Ext & Red Int).

@cheveslakr - Thanks! I'm in Portland also.

Thanks @augy !
