Cool New Member

Hello to everyone,

Looking forward to all this site has to offer. As for myself, I'm a retired auto tech of 26 years and built 1972 and older custom and classic cars for 11 years. I have a 1966 Chevelle SS that I have had for about 21 yrs.. Chevelle's are my thing and only made sense to join. Hope I can offer my help as I know I need yours from time to time. Stay Safe....

Paul

Welcome Paul, to Team Chevelle.....

When I sits, I sits loose.
When I thinks, I falls asleep.

Re: New Member

Thanks for the welcome, And I probably should have put some info on my 66 in my first post.

Here's my 1966 Chevelle SS. I bought this car with this paint on it and restored it to what you see.

Marina blue, Bright blue interior(was black when I got it. I did all interior except headliner), buckets, console(has factory shift handle now), factory gauges w/tach, factory tilt column, new glass and new everything else ($) All exterior trim replaced mostly nos parts, oe bumpers straightened and rechromed, added nos front and rear bumper guards

1967 eh 396/325hp with comp cams 270h camshaft, lifters, pushrods, springs, rockers, hard seats, manley valves, factory cast intake, 1966 correct quadrajet carb, points distributor, all deep groove pulleys with idler, gardner exhaust system, 30lb 11in billet centerforce flywheel, centerforce II clutch, 444 bellhousing, m20 4-speed, hurst shifter, cd code 12 bolt with 3.07 posi (they only made 33 cars with this rear gear and posi), suspension all factory except the Bilstein shocks and poly front sway bar bushings. Drum brakes at all 4 corners, no power steering, no power brakes makes it fun to drive!

The restoration is 20 yrs old now. Since I retired I have been working on the car in areas that needed some attention. Not much more I can do at this point
