68' Malibu looking for a good home

I recently inherited my father's beautiful 68' Malibu. This car has been completely modified for the track. I would love to restore it back to being a weekend cruiser, like my father had it when he took it to shows, but I've been told it would take way too much time and $$ to make that happen because of all the mods. My father only made 3-4 passes in this car after the new motor was built..all passes saw 8.5 seconds (all motor). I can provide a full list of specs upon request. *Car is also in a 28' Elite Racing trailer.

welcome to the site;
it would take alot $$ to revert back to street/strip status
you will need a plan to if that is really what you want to do...

Currently I think the plan is to sell it...at least that's what it sounds like.

Love the color!!!

Probably could use a little more detail / photos on car (sounds amazing at under 8.5 seconds) also what location / state the car is in. You don't need to go over board here but this is why - 1) what are you asking for the car or 2) are you asking people to give you an idea on what it is worth (which many people do here to get some seasoned Chevelle guys opinions). Good luck with sale - looks like nice car.

My advice would be to attempt to sell it, but potential buyers looking for this particular vehicle are going to be few and far around. You're correct...it will take plenty of cash to convert a 8.5 second car into streetable car. Take it to your closest dragstrip(if they're open) and stick a for sale sign on it...

I've spent most of my money on women and guns.The rest I just wasted...

A search for Scott Dunn (name on the window) brings up this information.

Also shows Scotts 68 being from Pennsylvania.

Correct, I am from PA..Scott was my father. Once I post some more pics/info, I would certainly appreciate the opinions of some seasoned Chevelle guys on the worth.
