Question new chevelle owner

Hi Everyone,
I am a new member and a new car owner.
I was wondering if someone could help me?
I was trying to search my Vin number to see if it was an SS and it keeps saying not enough characters but,
this is all I have for my 1972 Chevelle vin number # 1C37F21554746
Thanks,
squirrelly

Re: new chevelle owner

Maybe a mod should check this out. Seems suspicious to me.

Re: new chevelle owner

Hey squirrlley Shirley!, I guess you are legit since Dean has given his stamp of approval. Welcome again to the team. Sorry to of been the bearer of the bad SS news. It's still a Chevelle, so you definitely have a cool car. Post some pictures of it, we always love to see the latest Chevelle in the group. Tell us about it to, any plans you have for it, any history you know about it, any of that kind of stuff is always interesting.

Re: new chevelle owner

If you have a sweep dash it isn't a SS.

Re: new chevelle owner

Welcome to the site. Nice looking car!
Is the reason you are looking for a fuel gauge because the existing fuel gauge is not working? If so it is most likely the sending unit in the tank and not the gauge. Just trying to save you some trouble.
