3-Point Seat Belts in '71 El Camino?

Good day folks,
I have a 71 El Camino and 66 Chevelle. Currently, I am working on the El Camino. I am looking to putting a 3-point seat belts in to increase safety. I gather from some that the Chevelle has attach points already in the body but I have not found information regarding the El Camino. Are there attach points in the 71 El Camino? Can I get to it if I lift up the liner from the door frame?

Thanks for the opportunity

The attachment points are there in the sail panel for a '71. You would have to remove the sail panel which is easier than lifting the headliner.

If you haven't found your 3-point seatbelts yet, I have used Morris Classics with good success. https://www.morrisclassic.com/collec...1969-el-camino

If a government spent $30bn to find better uses for carrots, there would be carrot appreciation societies, carrot conventions, 400 patents on carrot-based wing-nuts, tents, and textiles, and 4000 peer-reviewed references on worrying declines in carrot hue, nutrients, fertility and genetic diversity, not to mention gender inequality in dietary carrot content

X2 on the Morris, great product and you can choose your color & buckle.

I like how Morris uses both 5/16 bolts for the upper mount.I see some only use one in this position.

Tighten it till it strips and back it off a quarter turn.

Thank You guys for the shout out about our seat belts.
We use all the factory mounting points in cars as GM did.
GM tested the cars with 2 bolts in the top as they knew
that was what was needed to hold the occupant in the car safely.

Thx, Billy

Welcome Dana, to Team Chevelle.....

Hi Dana, welcome aboard. If you choose to use the factory belts for whatever reason, the El Camino shoulder belt is different from the coupe or sedan belt in that it has a buckle and the matching tongue is attached to the driveshaft hump with the regular belts.
I too recommend the Morris Belts.
