Hi all, looking forward to making the best use of this forum. I am a proud new owner of a 1966 Chevelle SS 396 with a Muncie 4-Speed and a 12 bolt 3.73 posi rear end. The car is Marina Blue with a black vinyl top. Enjoying every minute driving up and down the coast and going to as many shows I can to meet a network of other Chevelle owners. - John
Nice ride and welcome.
Wish I could drive my Chevelle up and down the coast. She is sitting in hibernation till spring. gotta love the Midwest winter weather....
That is one nice Chevelle, sir, with a GREAT drive train too boot.
I escaped from Whittier 16 years ago. That almost looks like the Boeing building next to where the Long Beach Hi-Performance Swap Met occurs, probably not, though. .
Thanks all for the warm welcome and yes the Boeing building in the photo is the old Boeing plant in Huntington Beach. Next up for the ride are 1 inch lowering springs and possibly a larger cam 👍
Welcome to the site. I had a 66 SS396 almost the same as yours with that same color combination but it had a white bucket seat interior with a 4 speed and console. Mine was a real 1970's beater and could only dream back then to look as cherry as your car looks now.
