Hello from Wisconsin

Well, after many years of wanting and wishing for a 1967 Chevelle, I finally made it happen this week. Just picked up a mostly original 67 Malibu coupe 327 4 speed (was originally a PG). Other than the 4 speed and an SS good, the car is mostly original and in decent shape. I plan to clean it up, fix a few cosmetic things, and use it as a driver/cruiser for the time being.

While this is my first Chevelle, I'm no stranger to old cars. Looking forward to learning more about these cars from all the experienced people on this website!

The pictures are from the day I bought it. It's not a trophy winner but I like the originality of it. My short list includes: a good scrubbing/detailing, touching up the paint, new seat covers, new headliner, tucking the exhaust up under the trunk a little better, and maybe some different wheels. Oh yes, and enjoy driving it!

Re: Hello from Wisconsin

Not too shabby for a generally unmolested car. It'll clean up real good! NICE SCORE!!! WELCOME to the Chevelle klan!

I truly DIG the green interior color. I hope you can find covers like that if you choose to keep it. And good choice on "dehooptyfying" the exhaust tips.

The last thing is the most important ENJOY! Prior owner did ya solid on that one with a 4 gear! 327/4speed = CLASSIC!

Re: Hello from Wisconsin

I like it!

If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Hi all-
It's been a few months and I wanted to post a progress report with some updated pics. I spent the summer/fall cleaning up the car and replacing all the fluids (including re-sealing the 4 speed). I restored the original steering wheel and got rid of the aftermarket one. I also had new seat covers installed and added Bilstein shocks all around to help the ride. And I bought and restored some Corvette rally wheels... a big improvement. Pardon all the screenshots, it's the only way the website will let me upload p
