Re: New owner 1969 Chevelle SS crashed in rear

Well Haggerty is based in Michigan. Probably would have to contact them. Dont know how willing they would be to give out such info. Give it a go. Worst that can happen is they can slam the door in your face and maybe sick their laywers on you.

Makes me wonder if not salvaged why previous owner did not have the car repaired with the pay out?

Got lucky on facebook and got a name and phone number of the previous owner, so we should know soon enough.

Welcome to Team Chevelle.

I'll be first to say it..."That'll buff out!"

Looks like it was a really clean car. I don't see any Bondo that went flying.
I think a couple of minutes with a hammer and dolly and then the buffer... good as new.

Good Luck!

I was going to suggest running the VIN through your local DMV but if you've already got a phone # no sense

It's gonna need some love, but it looks like a worthy project. Good luck with it.

Noticed it is a 4 speed car. Cant beat that.
Also noticed it is missing the heater hoses. Gonna have to fix that way up there in the frozen north. Otherwise the only month you'll be able to drive it is August. Isn't that when you guys take your chains off. Around the end of July?

Very nice looking car and looks to be very repairable! Good luck and enjoy it!
