That is a good price...maybe only selling 1 side for that price? Sounds like you should give them a call.

Dang!!! Well, I was thinking of putting "tall" ones in there anyway.. ball joints are inexpensive, and easy to deal with before anything is installed. I mean, for the price you can replace all the ball joints and still be hundreds ahead.

Re: *Another* 65 Chevelle pro-touring project

So I gave this thing a drive, and MAN!!! It drives like crap.. lol

So.. I did order the offshore a-arms, and I will put in new ball joints before they see the car.

I think I'm going to order a set of 2" drop springs.

Thinking for a meantime situation that some of the ground up disk brake conversions offer huge bang for the buck. Then the proforged suspension rebuild kit.. idler, center lnk, and all tie rods..

That way it's a complete revamp that will make the car much more drivable while looking at things more the race car.. lol

I have the proforged stuff as well, not installed yet. I am going with Kore3 for the brakes through. I do agree that CPP and GroundUp seem to have some bang for the buck brake systems.

PARTS!!!

They arrived sooner than I thought.. the upper ball joints look pretty beefy, but the best that I can tell, the lowers have that taper to them.. But cheap insurance is to change them out. Honestly, the rest of the assembly looks to be just fine..

I'll have to look at the Kore3 stuff, I haven't heard of it. but I do agree, the ground-up seems to be plenty fine for now..

Really, ANYTHING will perform better than what's on it now!!

I'll do 14" stuff later.. but I just want to something on it to make fun to drive in the meantime.

Re: *Another* 65 Chevelle pro-touring project

Well, after some thought about what I wanted to do with the car in the near term and moved forward on a plan for that.. Since I have 2 of these things, I just wanted to be up and running in something that's cool to drive on nice days.. I can do this without too much effort and then can get the race car chassis done. THEN move back to the streetcar and get further into the pro-touring rabbit hole... With that said made some purchases today that should get me close to the "mid stage" of the streetcar

1: First and foremost new ball joints, Moog lowers, and proforged .5 long uppers
2: Proforged steering rebuild kit (inner/outer tie rods, center link, idler arm)
3: Super fast ratio manual box
3: Proforged pitman arm
4: BMR 2" drop springs
5: Ground Up 11" front disk conversion (disks, booster, MS, PV, spindles, ect)
6: Group Up stainless disk brake conversion line kit
7: New dash bezel (the one in the car is crazy beat up)
8: Bucket seat mounts (Guy I got it from just had the seat bolted to the floor)
9: Lacarra steering wheel Mark 9 GT wheel with the mounting kit and horn
10: New turn signal canceling cam
11: Last but not least, American Auto Wire classic update kit.

Wiring is here.. Man that kit is nice!! This should keep me busy for a bit!!!
