I'm going to be using wegner FEAD on my 66 ls swap also. Did you use a attached or a remote power steering pump reservoir? I'd like to use attached if possible.
My 6.0L is disassembled so it will probably be easier to count the teeth vs looking for the sensor! lol But good to know the difference.

I went with a remote resi because that's what I had with the BBC prior to the LS swap. I have an attached resi on the Chevelle with the Jones Racing Products FEAD.

Been using u-joints with those clips forever at all power levels and never had a failure. Makes me wonder if one side was not completely seated from the start.

Re: Yelcamino 2.0

Sorry to hear of the misfortune Herb!

Not sure if you'll remember me, hung out with my buddy Adam at most of the Run Thru The Hills events, he had the silver protouring S10. Think I'd sent you pics of you running the courses as well.

Hope you get it up and running soon! In process of dropping a 6.0 in a 64, got tired of messing with s10s.

Thanks Ryan. It's a hard pill to swallow, but I'll get it fixed before you know it!

Re: Yelcamino 2.0

A quick update...

I brought the T56 to Bowler to have them check it out and they found a broken shift rail guide.

Things are starting to move forward: Bowler is fixing the trans, I ordered a dual CV joint shaft from the Driveshaft Shop, and I got a 408" shortblock in the works.

These projects we do, it"s crazy.

Was there something that made you take the trans in for inspection? Which T56 was it, new or used?

It was a brand new T56 Magnum. When I first removed it, the input and output shafts were locked even though it was in neutral and when I put it in gear, the input and output shafts wouldn't rotate. After fiddling around with it, whatever was hung up released. So I figured just to be on the safe side, I should have Bowler take a look inside. I'm glad I did.
