I decided on the gray, somebody I know suggested BMW's color. Then on another post I saw you painted it BMW Sparkling Graphite. That is THE color. So I told my paint shop guy to paint my car that color. Hope you dont mind! I've looked and looked and I keep coming back to that color. Looks awesome though...could you please post a few more showing off the paint??? Thanks!
I have no problem with anyone else using the color, which is why I posted the name. It is a unique color, and very beautiful in the sun.

Once the car is color-sanded and buffed I'll be taking a lot of pics.

Looks awesome! Dig that color as well.

What condition was the car when you bought it? Did you just want to redo everything (paint/frame/engine) to your liking?

Also, is that a motor you had laying around or built or was it the one Mark Stielow originally installed?

Going to be a sweet riding car that's for sure. Nice work.

The car was nice when I got it. It needed a paint job as the guys who painted it for Mark used three different shades of red, and that showed up in certain lights. Then it had an Electromotive efi system, and I had a FAST unit I wanted to install instead. To get the harness out required dropping the trans and most of the dash, so I decided to go ahead and paint it at the same time. When I started into that it turned out there was a ton of bondo on the car, again supposedly removed by the "pros" who painted the car. I had the turbo LS2 motor left over from my GTO, so then got the bright idea to swap that in.

And so it happened, a simple scuff and shoot paint job turns into a complete re-do of body, paint, motor, etc.

That engine is freaking sweeeeeeeeeeet. Should haul some major ass for sure!!! I'd like to possibly do some sort of EFI system.

Question for yah. I notice you have the main hoop for a rollbar inside your car. Are you caging the whole thing? I've been playing with the idea of caging mine. Just curious as to what you did.

Mark Stielow built that 4 point roll bar when he built the car; I'm leaving it as-is.

Does your painter guy shoot other peoples cars? I'd be willing to drive it 30 mins down to him for results like that. PM info if you could.

Looks great!!! I can't wait to see it in person on PT this year.

What paint did you use on the firewall area. Looks good

Also the car is begging for the 10 spokes from the other thread.

Looks like the lower control arms were also moved inward...

I was debating just a notch and maybe filling it in with thicker guage material...

I love everything about the car

Jody, did you have to run spacers to clear the front calipers? I had to use 1/2" thick ones with a similar set up.

It took a 1/8" spacer with the b-car spindle, but the ATS spindle clears with identical calipers.
