I used bedliner on my inner fenders as well...they look awesome and should stay that way for a long time.

Tom, where did you get the nice heater hose connector installed in the firewall? It looks very tidy.

They look like Billet Specialty or All American Billet. Neither website shows that exact one, but my All American Billet catalog shows one that looks just like that.

Nothing fancy, just the bulkhead fitting from Vintage Air. It's been a long time ago that we bought and built that part of the car, but I'm sure they still have similar. It is completely hidden once the fender is installed...

Ok, thanks. I am going to look for that. Doesn't look like the one that comes in the normal kit.

Re: Here's my run at Pro Touring

I want to reassure everyone that we aren't loosing focus on getting this car back together, but... We did just purchase another 66 Malibu and it will wait patiently for some upgrades while we finish up the silver/grey one. I'll start a build thread for the new one when time allows. Busy busy!

New colors look great! The new owner will be getting a REAL NICE car when it's finished. Leaving the MAST engine in it for the sale?

Thanks Todd! The plan right now is to reinstall the Mast 416 in this car. If the next owner wants something a little more mild we can dial down the price and install an L92/LS3 we have waiting.

Re: Here's my run at Pro Touring

Seems like it has been years since I posted an update about the Chevelle. Certainly nothing happens as fast as we would like in the shop, at work, around the house or anywhere for that matter. But, I'm happy to say the Chevelle is back on the road/track and feels great. Two weekends ago we ran the Midwest Musclecar Challenge which is closest to our home of all the events we run. Of course, after wrecking it in August of 2015 (two years, nine months) it was right down to the wire wrapping things up to head out. Here's a handful of pictures to show the new color and the brake upgrade we made. More to follow during the "Pro-Touring season".
