Driveline length

If you convert from a 10 bolt to a 12 bolt rear end, will a new driveline be required;
due to a change in length?

Re: Driveline length

If all items are factory, NO issues just bolt it all together. My 1970 Nomad Sta. Wgn. was a 307--10 bolt. Went with a big block and a 700R. Drove it for a year to see if the rear gear would be OK.
Built a 12 Bolt, Rolled the 10 bolt out and rolled the 12 bolt in. Bolted up the driveshaft. No issues that was 30-40.000 Miles ago.
For me the only issue was playing with the brake lines and bleeding the brakes. Swapping the housing is the E-Z part.

Re: Driveline length

No, the driveshaft length is the same.
