Alone time

Took the 69 out today. Temp is in the mid 50s and sunny. I took a 1 1/2 hour ride by myself. Just me and the car. Man it was the best 1 1/2 hours I had this week. Car ran like a champ. And I felt like a champ. No-one bothering me, no radio on, just the sound of horsepower. My family doesn't understand the joy that I get from that. Im sure most, if not everyone on this site can relate to a nice drive in the car on a sunny Sunday. Have a great day all. Thanks for all the excellent information and support.

Re: Alone time

I always look forward to some me time, good for you. I was going to do that today but chose a nap instead.

Re: Alone time

It was 63 and sunny here to day, but the roads are covered with salt. Could not pull the trigger.

Re: Alone time

I did the same thing today- 63.98 miles around Atlanta with the windows down. Caffiene and Octane was just letting out so there were more than a few gearheads with me out on 285 today...

Absolutely. Small Block with a stick shift on a winding back road is best

Re: Alone time

Damn fine looking '69 you've got there. Bud! I've taken mine out twice during the past week, after it sat since the first week of last September. Nothing but good vibes while shifting gears on the back roads.

Re: Alone time

I think after a long winter especially the first drive needs to be alone so you can take in all you've missed the months before.

Re: Alone time

I get alone time in my Chevelle almost everyday. My wife is not a car person AT ALL and wonít ride in it. (She says the red interior is too ďpimpingĒ) Itís my daily driver so when we go somewhere together itís in her car (with the bland tan interior).
