1970 SS Dash - Temperature Control Adjuster

Does anyone have a picture of the temperature control adjuster for the 1970 Chevelle SS model without a/c? For the models without a/c what is in the opening above the controller - Chevrolet emblem or vent (single/double)?

The 70 controllers will have a greenish tint when backlit. Later years were white.

Check here ^ for various pictures of the control assembly. Vent block off plate seen below. No center vent on a non a/c 70. Black with chrome "Chevrolet" script.

I see there are some variations to the "vent block off plates". Is there one that is factory correct?

The block off plate should be black and say Chevrolet on it with a chrome high lighted rectangle around it as shown in the post above.

I've never really looked hard at these. But judge for yourself. The first attachment is original and second is the reproductions commonly available from most suppliers. Would any Joe notice a difference? I doubt it. A Concours judge might be another story.

From what I see, the font on the reproductions is a little more prominent.
