ACES Chevelle club

So it appears that ACES is dead but I can't confirm 100%. There are still web pages that have sign up info but most links are dead. Some links refer back to Chevelles.com. but there is an old thread I read through here and it seems that it is gone. Did Team Chevelle take over ACES or is it gone?

Thanks,
Jeff

Re: ACES Chevelle club

So, how long can one own the rights to something that does't exist?

If the name is trademarked, and Chuck owns the trademark, could be a long time.

Unless someone makes him an offer he can't refuse.

Or, someone create a name with different words but the acronym stays the same.

Any litigation over something like this hurts the hobby and it makes you wonder how much "enthusiasm" people really have towards something.

Re: ACES Chevelle club

I seriously doubt that there would ever be any litigation over the name.
First of all nobody would want to use the name again unless they were rich and crazy enough to think they could do better job at making the club successful than Chuck did and wanted to try to get the club going again.

Secondly, people are probably assuming what Chuck did. (I ASSUME)

Re: ACES Chevelle club

It has always amazed me that such a large marque/model, Chevrolet/Chevelle has such a lack of organization nationally and locally for that matter. you can look at just about any other make Old/Buick/Pontiac and even Amc all have huge national organizations and local chapters.
