Question South Carolina Tricentennial Edition...

I just saw a very nice '70 SS on Ebay but the seller says it's a "South Carolina Tricentennial Edition". I've heard of the "Carolina Blue" editions in '69 but never about a "South Carolina Tricentennial Edition" before… The ad even says that the car is black but has a "ZP3" special paint code with "- - " on the cowl tag and a mention on the build sheet as well.
--> My question is what makes this car different from any other black on black '70 Chevelle?

The paint code, and the build sheet confirming (if...) then it has potential to be put back to the special gold for anyone willing to invest in such an endeavor. I saw a video that was a bit long-winded but showcasing such a car. It was really, really nice in the gold, and if I'm not mistaken the only LS-6 version accounted for.

You mean like this one that was at the NOCC Chevelle show this year? https://www.chevelles.com/forums/11-...paint-ls6.html This is a nice video despite all of the heckling going on about the videographer. It looks to me that the paint is special. This one is gold, but I'm not sure on the black on black.

Re: South Carolina Tricentennial Edition...

From what I understand, the car which I was talking about in my first post wasn't black originally but gold?…
