PCV valve

Need a new PCV Valve but see that there are 2 part numbers for a new one. One for a high performance engine and one w/o high performance engine. I would assume that my 350 c.i. with 2 barrel carb and 245 h.p. would not be considered high performance.I wonder what the actual difference is between the two and if it really matters?

Re: PCV valve

The difference is the vacuum required to operate, the high performance models use less vacuum.

What he said. I have found that the AC Delco CV774C works well on stock to mild street engines. It also has a 90 deg elbow which makes hose routing a little cleaner (if originality isn't a high priority). I think this is also the valve GM recommends for the 330hp 350 crate engines.
