New to forum

Hello I’m drew and I’m new to this forum. I just recently bought a 67 Chevelle and I am a newb compared to master mechanics on here. I will definitely have a lot of questions along the way. I will attach pictures so you can all see it but let me tell you all more about it. It has a sbc 400 with a turbo 400 transmission in it. My question is, I want to make this a manual transmission, does anybody know what would fit well for my 400 and the car?

progress has little to do with speed, but lots to do with direction

Re: New to forum

Welcome to the forum. Look for a 71 to 74 muncie 4 speed, you can reuse your driveshaft and yoke from the TH400 if its a short tail. Pedals and linkages just a bolt in swap. Have to drill the firewall for the clutch rod, cut a hole in the floor for the shifter. jim

Oops, dont forget a correct 400 flywheel thats externally balanced, a iron nose starter, bolts and correct bell housing. jim

Re: New to forum

Welcome to Team Chevelle from another 67 owner

Why changing to a Manual ?

I love my 3 speed TH400 for the Track and wish I had a 4 speed Auto 4L80 for the Hwy Cruzin

After market 5 speeds would be a better choice if you want a Standard for/with great Hwy Cruzin
