It's the same in Okla. Okla DVM makes the decision as to whether it is acceptable, NOT the owner.

I try to stay with plates that cannot be controversial.

Re: Personalized License Plate help

When I lived in San Diego a few years ago I remember reading about a guy with the plate "TIHS TA3" who had it recalled because someone saw it in their mirror when he was stopped behind them at a red light. Some of those plates are pretty creative....

Re: Personalized License Plate help

When picking out my plates in late 90's, I requested SMOKN70 and had to state the meaning, I wrote "the car smokes from oil leaks" but was declined as they said it was drug reference. California. Ended up with BURNN70, same description and they were ok with that.

Re: Personalized License Plate help

I'm in Virginia and they wouldn't let me get PNY KLLR, or any variant thereof (aggravating), so I just went with a standard plate. I figure after I upgrade the suspension and clean up a few warts here and there I'll do something personalized. Maybe 2SPD396, or PWRGLYD, or something of the sort.

Re: Personalized License Plate help

I run an old (1970) plate on my chevelle. A very cool present from a friend.
On my jeep I run NTMD8TR. All you Earnhardt fans should get that one.

I tried to get D SS RULZ. They said no. J/K.

But don't Google "SS caps" at work when looking for wheel center caps, you will get a bunch of Nazi hats/covers.

What was your explanation of the meaning? Looks fairly obvious ...

NV must be pretty lax on the plates.
