70 LS6 Concours Wagon

I just thought I’d share a few pictures of my 70 Concours Wagon. The car originally came with a 307, 2 speed glide, and a 10 bolt with 3:36 gears. I just finished installing a 70 LS6 engine with later 990 square port heads to drop the compression a bit, a hydraulic roller cam, Holley fuel injection, real dual Snorkle air cleaner, 700R4,12 bolt 3:31 posi, and a 6500 tach dash. It’s a blast to drive now 👍🏻

Beautiful, Just beautiful. I love wagons. I have an LS-5 & 700R in my 70 Wgn. Ya, Kant beat a wagon for a nice ride. Where did you find yours?

Thanks Bob. It originally came from a convent in Erie PA. My old friend bought it in 2006 and brought it up to Canada. He had put a 402 and a 400 turbo in it when he got it home. It was too hard on fuel and not friendly on the Hwy. I bought it off him a few years ago.

Re: 70 LS6 Concours Wagon

You are in Freelton. I used to keep my Chevelle on a friend's farm in Freelton back in the 80's. There also used to be a Daytona Yellow COPO Chevelle in Freelton from 1974 - 1993 next to where Freelton Truck Parts used to be on Freelton Road (FTP is now up Highway 97 to the south). I also remember a black '70 LS5 Chevelle SS454 in the area back in the 80's. Used to ride our observed trials bikes in the fields, swamps & woods on the west side of town.

Nice wagon!
