Re: Lets see some team El Camino pictures

I did a full frame off on my '69 SS396 Camino. It has a mild roller 460BBC with a small shot and A/C. It runs but I've gotten side tracked in recent years with getting the Camaro to run mid 9's and now low 8's.

Re: Lets see some team El Camino pictures

I remember your 69 and wondered what happened to it, Steve. Reason I bumped this thread today was because of cars like yours.

My grandparents lived in Modesto for many years, during the 1960's. BTW, did you know Adrian West from there? At one time, he owned a string of speed shops across the West and campaigned a Top Fueler, for awhile. You might have seen him and his wife riding their Boss Hoss V8 trikes around the area.

Re: Lets see some team El Camino pictures

Here's mine... Completed a few more things since these pictures were taken... Got the heater hooked up. The front wheels are new 15X7 rallys, as the 15x8 GM "Corvette" rallys were rubbing the front (I forgot that the Corvette wheels don't work up front, unless its sky-high)... New 235/60-15 Mickey Thompson tires up front too...

Most progress has stopped on the car for now. I have it for sale, but may finish up a few things over the winter...

Kinda hate to see you sell that El Camino, Tony. Someone is going to get a decent car to make their own.

I'll load more pictures later, but how do you load them in full size instead of thumbnails?

I was going to say something here, but I can't remember what it was.

It may have something to do with photo size. I have full-size and cropped photos, on my hard drive. My cropped pics are around 800x600 or smaller.
Are you trying to post a full-size photo?

Back in 2001 as I was about the have the El Camino painted I helped a friend purchase a business. After a fat 6 figure loss I had to choose which car to work on. I recovered from that and then my neighbors new Cadillac rolled across the street and hit the garage where the El Camino sits. It hit the Camino and knocked it of the jack stands. Most of it had to be repainted. Now it's back to where it was. I've lost interest because of all the issues but I need to finish it. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your troubles with your Elco. Hope you can find the commitment to getting it back on the road.

Adrian and his wife owned those V8 trikes and were good friends of mine. He passed away, last year.

The best way Iíve found to post full size images since the new forum format change is to click on community in blue bar above >Pictures and Albums and upload from your computer and save.
Then you can post the image using the [IMG] tag provided
(By the way, I use the old classic forum format)
