Re: Lets see some team El Camino pictures

i just picked up this 66. It doesn't look like much, but it is a nice solid starter. No rust in floors, quarters or fenders. woohoo!

Re: Lets see some team El Camino pictures

I tried the tailgate down thing and it didn't work. It just wanted to bounce when I hit second gear, then it would spin the tires. And there was no MPH difference at all... probably due to the tire spin.

Re: Lets see some team El Camino pictures

Mythbusters proved that there is less drag with the tail gate UP. They didnt test an el camino but a pick up truck which is probably close enough... Supposed to be MYTH! If you are getting 2-3mph more maybe it is because more weight moved back slightly? I doubt an el camino is any different then a regular pickup truck. Did you do real side by side comparisons or do it on different days with different conditions?

Super sweet El Camino. Bryan, post more angles and engine shots please. I'm sure the other guys are into it too. How could they not be? The dashes on those are so boss, and the fins. Oh my.
