1970 new EEC fuel tank

I'm replacing the fuel tank on my 1970 396 El Camino. The Evac canister is missing. The tank has 3 vents. The left and right vent tubes seem to be bundled up on each side of the tank, not sure if they are open ended. I don't remember what's happening on the center vent tube. I know it's bad to vent to the air, but wondering how anyone is handling this issue?

Re: 1970 new EEC fuel tank

Do you still have all the original vapor lines and canister bracket? If so a visit to your local pick your part will get you a canister for very little cash. I found a replacement for mine from a late 70s Chevy van, although almost any will work. Assembly manual has the complete setup under the NA9 option pages.

Thanks. I'll take a look in the manual as you suggest
