Re: 1966 el camino rear side bed quarter panels

I had to use pass car rear wheel opening patch panels and make my own rear lower quarter patch panels, about 10 years ago. The Pass car wheel opening patch panels worked fine and I used pass car opening trim . FWIW

What the hell is the deal with that. I can find panels for 64-65 and 67 but nothing for 66
There are patch panels but that's it. Is 66 not a popular year?

I remember the opposite, no 67 quarters being made. And no 67 taillights either, only 66.

Thought Muscle Factory and OPG sold 66? To use on a 67 you need to change the tail lights?

Re: 1966 el camino rear side bed quarter panels

I called some different part houses about 4 years ago and I was told they don't make them and don't have any plans to make them anytime in the near future. I read somewhere that there was a company that used to make a skin but they were such poor quality they stopped making them altogether. Wagons used to be a good source but are getting harder to find and now its a shame to cut a cool wagon anyway so hopefully someone will start production soon.

Re: 1966 el camino rear side bed quarter panels

Heard the same thing....why they dont make them for our 1 yr only 67s sucks!!! These cars got hammered in the 70s lot of my damage was in teh tailight section so chopping up a 66 trying to get that right is a waste.

Couldnt find a roof either, former owner did a lousy job in stalling a sunroof so had to cut a used one .(Kinda liked the sunroof though dont tell noone!)
