68 Convertible top boot slide rail question

My 68 never had one since I owned it, so I bought one to put on. I could find very little anywhere on how it should be mounted. So, I took my best guess on height and screwed it to the top of the back seat. Actually, I really can't get it much lower on the seat back without running out of frame to screw it to. Can anyone tell me if it is correct as-is, or if it needs to go lower?

What a SERIOUS pain to attach the boot, but man, what much nicer appearance.

Looks to right on the money,

and yes, they can be a pain in the ass to put on and off.

Once on, they look great.
