Thanx Phil, putting the pieces back together little by little. This particular car has presented quite a few obstacles and some black holes as a few of you are aware.

I also received the NCRS report for the convertible. I've got virtually every owner's information back to the dealership. That car had at least 7 owners across 3 states, a boatload of drama, 2 divorce settlements, and a nearby explosion that broke the quarter window from shrapnel.
If these cars could talk.

"If these cars could talk". You said it all. Your convertible's history could make a great story.

Re: Brigance Chevrolet Oak Park Il

Brigance was sorta-like a scaled down version of Nickey Chevrolet. A great many high performance Chevrolets were sold from that dealership, most by their well-known high performance salesman "Mr. Ed" Schoenthaler. Back in the mid 70's I owned a 69 Nova SS that was sold new at Brigance and was widely rumored to have been a 427 conversion at that dealership when new. Interesting that your car made its way to the Pacific Northwest, Jerry.

Re: Brigance Chevrolet Oak Park Il

Bill, I brought the car back here from Iowa a year ago next week.
I've also caught up with a couple threads over at SYC which were very informative. These cold, long nights give me a great chance to get a bump on the research.

I bought a new 66 l-78 chevelle brand new as soon as I graduated high school in June 1966. m-21 4:10 posi radio heater convertible only options> All I remember is finally getting the papers signed by my dad hopping in doing a u-turn on Chicago ave and lighting up those flimsy tiger paw red lines.
