Hey All.
I have a 1/4 inch and a 1/2 inch vent tube in my 68 fuel tank - the sender unit does not have a vent. Reading through old posts and the comments on gas fumes in the garage, pressure {{Whoooshes}} when removing the gas cap, spillage and such, should I sent the vent(s) to the front of my car and hook them to a newer type vent device (I think they use charcoal?)

Can I mount something near the tank that will cure all of my worries? I just don't see why many vents run to the front - other than providing a 'higher' vent point, unavailable in the rear of the car.

I wasn't able to find anything in the Service or Body manuals.

Thanks.
