Not sure on a "70" but if memory serves me correctly the early column ign. cyls had a small spring loaded tab that got pushed in to release the cyl?There is a small slot in the housing that the cyl. is in near the bottom,usually covered in casting flash,push a small thin bladed screwdriver in through the slot to depress the tab in. If you have a new cyl. in hand or go to the parts store and look at one you'll see the tab. Not sure what year they started using a screw in the same area to hold the cyl. in? Someone correct me if I'm wrong,it's been awhile.
