Had the problem with my 69 chevelle for about 12 months,drove me crazy.Tried everything,rebuilt the tranny,new driveshaft,still no joy.Found it just recently...... turns out the yoke on the diff end is worn allowing the caps on the u-joint to move out an extra 2mm causing vibration.simple test, loosen the bolts,squeeze the caps together and retighten,then take for a drive and see if there is a difference.Good luck
