Big block with Black Widow 250s

I have gotten my car back from the exhaust shop and have a video of the sound. It’s an X-pipe dumping before the rear end, Black Widow 250 dual 3 inch system. Engine is a 454 with a comp cam 304h

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjNRDeDpEjA

Pretty happy with the results. I’ll get a driving sound in a couple weeks. I’m away on business for a bit.

Cheers

Anyone clicking on the link, first couple seconds of the vid are open header, afterwards, it's freaking righteous!! That is EXACTLY the way a musclecar should sound!! Awesome setup man, can't wait to see you get many smiles per mile!!

LOVE that idle!

If that doesn't get yer blood circulating, yer dead.....

When I sits, I sits loose.
When I thinks, I falls asleep.

Sound just like Violators. Are they a straight through design?

Thanks. I found with what I wanted and the combo I have, these worked the best to get me my sound I was looking for.

They are a straight thru design and I think over the axles would quiet them down a bit. This will be a street/strip car, so I wanted the ability to take them down and put custom 3.5 inch x 18 extensions on for the track more easily.

Nice car - could you tell me what rear wheel and tire size you are using? Thanks

Re: Big block with Black Widow 250s

Car sounds much better with the mufflers on it. Captures the idle but without the shallow sound of low compression. My Nova was the same way. I hated the way it was with open headers and could not get mufflers on it fast enough. Sounds really good.

I’m using a 15x10 with 5.0 backspace Billet Specialties Street Lite (narrowed rear end). Tires are 295/55-15 M/T Drag radials. Plenty of room at the frame and had to trim a bit off the quarter lip.
