Hedman Elites seem to have the least complaints. It is worth a hundred NOT to put them up and down with different hammer dents !

Hedman Elites it is

Thanks

I used FlowTech ceramic headers on my 454. Fit pretty well and didn’t have to “massage “ anywhere. Just very tight getting the oil filter out.

I don’t think any header fabricators show oil filter respect. I have a 55, if there were one more thread on filter, it would bottom on header! 🤪

Also at least I found that with Hedman Elites oil filter removal and/or installation is a non issue. Especially with a stock oil pan. The oil pan is an equal factor in regards to filter access.

I’ve read some on 825 pump issues w/Hedman Elite. As I can read, as long as it takes more than 2.5 turns lock to lock, I’m OK ?

Do you mean silicone from a tube? If so never heard of it. AFAIK copper is the way to go for gaskets.

Re: Which Header Brand

They lay out the whole procedure. Think ill stick to regular gaskets. But you go ahead and tell us how it works out.

Re: Which Header Brand

I have Hookers. There were already on the car when I bought it but I had them ceramic coated black and reinstalled them. I don't have any complaint about them, they get the job done.

My 383 came to me w/block huggers and 1/2” aluminum spacer to aluminum heads.

No apparent gaskets, appears to be red RTV. Not a leak in two and a half years & about 4000 mi
