I would not recommend this exhaust with a Procharger!

I saw this build on a show tonight called Wrench'd. The headers look terrible and it looks like they are either touching or are extremely close to the inlet of the Procharger. The car has an intercooler but why in the world would you build it so the blower is sucking air directly off the header! They ran the car on the dragstrip at the end. They claimed it should make 1,100HP but they didn't share the ET and it looked really SLOW as it went down the track.

I saw that show last night also and was not inpressed. If that was a 1000 HP going down the track it looked really slow.

The drivers side header is blocking the inlet to the Procharger!! Intercooled or not, the IAT's will be thru the roof.

You could always time it as the show runs with your watch, iPhone etc.

What they showed was not one continuous pass. They kept cutting to different angles from several different cameras. You can tell the speed is maybe 60MPH.

Well there you have it, to estimate hp take a guess at the vehicle weight and put that along with 60 mph into one of those online hp guestimators. Oughta be at least 60 or 70 hp.

'71 chevelle, 468, TH400, 12 bolt posi w/3.08's, drinks a lot of 87 octane.

I saw that one and turned it off as I saw some of the hack jobs they were doing.I tuned back in when they were at the track and I don't even think the owner of that car was a racer of any kind.No real racer would accept a build like that unless he was keeping his mouth shut for the camera's.

Re: I would not recommend this exhaust with a Procharger!

They mentioned that the owned also owned, or did own a pulling truck.
So maybe he just really likes the pulling truck headers through the hood style.

Myself, I think its completely ridiculous. Just trying to work on and tune the engine while running would be a challenge to not get burnt.

Very very terrible design.
