Wtb : a PCV hose clip for the 1966 - 396

Wtb : a PVC hose clip for the 1966 - 396

Can anyone tell me if these are used on more than 1966 BBC? I could expand my search. Not interested in reproduction.

Thank you.

These are photos I stole from the internet web pipes.

Looks like the same clip my "66" L30 uses? I could do some research in my old parts books to see. If you'd like Tom,let me know. If they are the same I may have a source for one.

I am interested. I had a PM that said there are more applications. Also there is another that attaches to the Holley. Will need that too. Is it the same?

The "66" AIM page 334 shows the clip that's used on the L30 327,the part # is incorrect.
AIM shows 3887148,should be
3887146 per my 1969 parts book. Found a picture on page 348 of the L34,shows 2 clips
depending on carb but only one is marked with a part#? 3846117.
G.M. parts wiki shows some applications for this #,including
"64-65" 409. The clip in your picture looks like it may attach to
Thermostat stud?
which shows 2 clips,

My 66 AIM shows 3846117 for the carb clip . I thought the clip on the intake was put on at the engine assembly plant,

The 390 HP 66 and 67 corvettes use these, maybe the 65 and 66 396 corvettes.

Re: Wtb : a PCV hose clip for the 1966 - 396

I believe the clip that goes to the 2nd intake bolt is 3871299. I think these clips would be specific to the holley bbc intake whenever that was use with a holley carb with the appropriate pvc port.

Looks like there are two different bends where it bolts to the intake, is that your view, and if so do you think the bends are factory or someone made the second bend?

Clip 3846117 to the Holley (396) ref AIM page C2.5 (agree with Jim)

Clip 3871299 to the Manifold, I can't find a reference. Must be part of Tonawanda's assembly.

I see that the part numbers are correct since they show up in the reproduction catalogs.

Yes , I think the compound bend is just damage. A pulled hose while still attached.

Re: Wtb : a PCV hose clip for the 1966 - 396

I have a photo, just cant find it now of an engine at the plant with carb, pvc hose, and clamp installed. Nice to be able to find an original. I think long island corvette has a nice reproduction.

Here is a photo of an original installed on my engine. It is part of the engine assembly from Tonowanda, so it should be painted. It has a double bend at the attachment bolt. The bends meet each other as a V.

I also have a photo of the hose, clamps, PCV and the clip that attaches to the carburetor stud. I haven't cleaned and installed this part yet.
