I thought from the AIM the clip was installed with the hose to the underside. Your photo Bruce shows the opposite. I think I have an old photo that maybe I can enlarge which might show the clip with the hose..

Which clip are you referring to?

66 El Camino 396/325HP 4-Spd

I checked the AIM. Both are correct. The clip from the Holley stud goes under and then over the hose. The other clip closer to the PCV , from the bolt goes over the hose then under.

Tom, I should have mentioned that my clip looks just like the one in your 3 photos.

Now that I look again, I agree with you Bruce on the clip that attaches to the carb stud.

Jim, I need to make a correction about the bends in that clip. I should have made a better effort to get a closer view of the clip. My new photos show there is only one bend with a larger radius than the two bends in Tom's pictures.
