Seb,
According to the calendar, winter isn't supposed to be here until December 21st. Maybe that is when the grommet will start to be worked on. Maybe it will be done by the time you thaw out!

Check out what I bought! I never thought I would find one. I don't feel so bad know that I gave up my original to make the repro.

Wow! But the auction shows no bids. Did you find it after the auction was over or did you make him an offer he couldn't refuse before the auction ended? That would be worth a mint to someone with a red interior!!!!!!!!!

Ok, here is the one I bought off e-bay, not nos but a nice complete original only problem I need a black one. I may die it... I still would like to know the correct installation on this part.

well....if this grommett gets done and I put it in, in time for the season, I could say I got something done to the cars this winter.

Re: 1965 and 1966 Floor Shift Carpet Grommet

Mark,
I just sent an email (Sunday) to Matt at Steele Rubber Products and attached photos of the unmolested grommet that Todd recently acquired. Hopefully, these photos will help them make the best possible reproduction. I am waiting to hear from Matt. I hope we get some good news soon.

Re: 1965 and 1966 Floor Shift Carpet Grommet

I just received an email from Matt. No progress has been made.

"Bruce,

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Your grommet is still on our task
list to do and the pictures are a help. We have some high priority projects
tying up the toolroom right now. We still plan on reproducing the grommet.
Will let you know as we come closer.

Matt"
