68 quiz question

Several years ago my daughter gave me the poster that is in the pix below. I really like it because she is definitely not a car person, but she knows that I like Chevelles and El Caminos.

This afternoon I was taking a break in my shop and could see my '68 327 El Camino Malibu and my '68 El Camino SS396, and also the pix on a wall in the background. I thought to myself, wait a minute, there is something wrong in the pix!

Question for you all. IF this car (or truck) is a 1968 SS, what is wrong with the picture. Okay, ignore that there was no 68 SS 427 (if your mistakenly believe that maybe a 68 did come from the factory with a 427 check out this thread: https://www.chevelles.com/forums/45-...ory-427-a.html ) then what glaring error is in this pix?

Sorry, no amazing award to the first with the correct reply, just the knowledge that you know something about 68 SS's and you are very fast on the keyboard.

Re: 68 quiz question

That's an awfully bright grille. My parents have the same poster.

Re: 68 quiz question

One of the headlight bezels does not match the other 3. Far left.

Also if it's an SS, grill should be blacked out.

Re: 68 quiz question

68 elcamino ss only came with 396 engines...

the 427 emblem on the SS is from an impala

and the other answers are correct also...

The same poster is hanging over my desk as I type...
Not enough '68 stuff out there, I'll take it.
