66 floor high beam switch screws

What do the screws look like that screw into the floor on the high beam switch. My car didn't have a high beam switch in the car when I got it. Can anyone post a picture of them that would be great. How long are they are they philips head flat head or hex head.

I think they are small 1/4" hex head screws.

AMK sells them, and places like NPD carry them... 1/4" hex with "tall" heads...

Oh great I think I might have a few of them in a box of old fasteners in the shed.

Re: 66 floor high beam switch screws

I've never found those tall head screws on a dimmer switch. Those usually are only on the heater box and heater controls. Every 65-67 I've ever disassembled has had 5/16 head hex head screws, or phillips pan head screws, holding the dimmer switch in. Good luck!

Re: 66 floor high beam switch screws

I found two of them but the one hole is a little bit larger in the floor. I guess at one time someone used a different diameter thread size in the floor to hold it on.

I believe that is because, as I said above, the tall headed 1/4" head screws are not what the factory used there. The 5/16" hex heads have a larger screw, so would fit the hole in your floor.

Re: 66 floor high beam switch screws

Great picture of them, those I don't have. I have the long headed fasteners that don't look right. Thanks again for the photo of them.
