67SS Black paint and gold interior ?

Anybody ever recall seeing a 67 black Chevelle with a gold interior ? Came across one once and almost bought the car but the guys brother, who owned the car, wasn't around. Was a 67SS car coded for black exterior paint and gold bucket seat interior.

I've seen 3 or 4 coded that way. Rare! There was a nice restored one at the Carolina Chevelle Assoc'n show a couple years ago.

Re: 67SS Black paint and gold interior ?

My cousin purchased a Black with gold interior bench seat 4-speed SS back in the late 70's. The car was then painted gold. Last I knew this black car along with a marina blue with blue bench seat interior 4-speed SS are sitting outside rotting away in West Virginia. Neither car have their original engines.

I don't know if it's "rare" or not… but it definitely looks classy!

My father owns a 67 El Camino that is coded torquise /gold interior. Not black/gold, but maybe that was a thing in 67..

In your first pic Dale, the whole interior looks like it's gold plated the way it glows. Terry

I've seen a black '68 with Ivy Gold interior, and it looked great.

It is a rare man who can count his own blessings and not mistake them for personal achievements.
