1970 Chevelle Undercarriage(Underbody) finish?
Does anyone have pictures of a 1970 Chevelle's undercarriage that shows the body color overspray and primer?
Does a 1970 Chevelle have the black anti-corrosion coating on the floors? I've seen this on '67 - '69 Camaros.
Is there a dark gray primer available that looks like the original used on the undercarriage?
Is it a very dark gray?

I agree with others. This depends a lot on the build plant, build date. Built in the States or Canada? Some plants did things there own way. Get some books, Due some research......... Then " Get er done".

The weirdest one I have seen is that many 1967 Chevelles & Beaumonts built in Oshawa came with blue floors underneath, regardless of body color. I don't know if it was some kind of zinc primer or just regular enamel. Mine had vestiges of body color (dark green in my case).

A few years ago a member here, DROPTOP L-89 LS-6, posted this picture of a 1970 Chevelle undercarriage that was restored(thread attached in link below). He said it was correctly done. This one has red oxide primer.
It looks to have the black anti-corrosion coating in the transmission tunnel and rear wheel wells.

Different plants used different colors and even those can vary. Page 127 of the Chevelle Restoration & Authenticity Guide 1970-1972 has data on this.
