Chrome plating shops

Hey team, I am looking for recommendations for a very good reputable chrome shop in the midwest. I have a OEM 68 front bumper that needs very minor straightening and rechroming. If you have had work done and it's been a number of years now and your still happy with it, I need a recommendation. Thanks

Re: Chrome plating shops

Tri city plating was awesome for me I am not sure how far you are from them, but my bumpers look perfect.

Paul's Chrome does excellent work. Not cheap by any means.

Re: Chrome plating shops

Dan's polishing and plating in Adamsville, Tennessee did my 71 convertible bumpers and door handles about 5-6 years ago. I was very satisfied with the quality. It wasn't exactly cheap, but they are far better quality than the repops. Front and rear bumper,s and both door handles and push buttons cost me $1,100.00. If I had to do it again, which I will on the El Camino I'm now working on, I will take them there again.

Re: Chrome plating shops

Tri-City is the choice of many. They do excellent work for reasonable price (compared to others). Mine from them look perfect.

JChilders, can you tell me how about how long ago they did your bumpers? They had one real bad review out of about 6 to 9 good reviews, that's why I'm asking.

Von, how long have you had your bumpers on since you got them back from Tri-City?

Re: Chrome plating shops

Just sold a '69 with a set of Tri City replates on it, nine years in, they still look like mirrors.

Current Chevelle 1 1/2 yrs but one I used to own was 10 years since bumpers were done when I sold it and bumpers were still perfect.

Thanks to everyone for your recommendations and comments. I just ordered a finished front bumper for my 68 SS elky from Tri-City. It sounds like I will be very happy with it.
