speedometer cable clips for a 1966

Hi,

I have a 1966 SS396 325hp 4 speed car I am restoring. Does anybody know who sells the speedometer cable clips that are welded on the passenger side floor lower front floor and transmission tunnel.

Thanks in advance. I would like to make my car as correct as possible.

I have not seen those reproduced or sold, but you could probably spot weld some other replacements...

IIRC, AMK products may have to "hooks", and maybe some resto suppliers (battery cable to oil pan, or heater fan wire in the engine compartment)...

Once you go RAT, you never go back...

These work great, already have a hole so you can plug weld them. Corvette Central Part # 302329 $14.25 for 4 pcs. https://www.chevelles.com/forums/att...583428&thumb=1

Corvette clips at $3.56 each before shipping?

These same clips can be picked up at my local hardware store in those universal part trays next to the nuts and bolts for a lot less.

Well, its says "Corvette" , and those folks LOVE to overpay for stuff, and then brag about it.

Check in the electrical section at the hardware store too. They have all sorts of clips and retainers for wiring and conduit that can be used in a crunch to approximate various original clips.
