Bellhousing Inspection Cover

Is the bellhousing inspection cover supposed to link to the back of the oil pan?

The one that came with my Ground Up 621 bell kit had some raised tabs in that area.

Yes, those tabs hook over the lip on the pan, so the cover doesn't move in and hi the flywheel. I had to trim mine a bit to make the tabs work.
